The General Training Programme of Burnpur Panthers is a year-round, community-driven initiative designed to promote physical fitness, sports excellence, adventure, and youth development. Conducted free of cost throughout the year (except on major holidays), the programme provides structured training and guidance to aspiring athletes, adventure enthusiasts, and government job aspirants, irrespective of their economic background.

The training curriculum focuses on developing endurance, strength, agility, leadership, teamwork, and mental resilience through a combination of athletics, adventure sports, obstacle training, and outdoor learning activities. Participants receive regular coaching in a wide range of track and field disciplines, including 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m Sprint Events; 1600m and 5000m Distance Races; 100m, 200m, and 400m Hurdles; Shot Put; Discus Throw; Javelin Throw; High Jump; and Long Jump.

To enhance practical fitness and adaptability, trainees undergo Road Race Training, Obstacle-Based Ground Training, Outbound Training Exercises, Training Sessions on Sand of River Bank, and Regular Rock Climbing Practice. Special outdoor training expeditions are also conducted at challenging locations to develop confidence, endurance, and mountaineering skills. These include training and climbing sessions at prominent locations such as Parasnath Hill, Joychandi Hill, and various adventure sites across the districts of Purulia and Paschim Bardhaman.

As part of its commitment to nurturing sporting talent, Burnpur Panthers identifies exceptionally promising candidates through periodic assessment and eligibility evaluations. Selected trainees are provided opportunities to receive advanced athletic training at the prestigious East Bengal Club, where professional coaching sessions are conducted under the guidance of Mr. Ashish See. While accommodation facilities are available free of cost, trainees manage their personal food expenses independently.

The organization is particularly committed to supporting deserving youth from economically weaker backgrounds. To encourage and motivate dedicated athletes, Burnpur Panthers regularly provides essential sporting equipment and training support, including running shoes, track suits, sports apparel, and other necessary training accessories, entirely free of cost to hardworking and determined candidates.

Through this programme, Burnpur Panthers strives to create an environment where talent, determination, and discipline are valued above financial limitations. The initiative reflects the organization's unwavering commitment to social welfare, youth empowerment, sports development, and equal opportunity for all, ensuring that every aspiring individual receives the support and guidance needed to pursue excellence.
